Dennis at FJW is growing frags in a 144g cube though I don't know the exact depth, I would honestly say you are good.

Then again in this hobby, everybody tries to cut by at the min, which you can do, but higher light is always better.

It will be softies and LPS. I will put the LPS on the rocks which will bring them up to about 20-30" deep and put the softies on the bed

I had three 250 watt moguls and the bulb was 40" from the sand and I could not keep color in my SPS. They would grow and stay alive but the color was always brown. I would not suggest it.
