Question- My PH is 7.4 and I have corals and fish. Will it hurt to add a little Marine Buffer by Seachem?

Buffers can get you in trouble and are more of a bandaid rather than a solution. The question you need to find out is why is your pH 7.4?

Can we get a general understanding of how your tank runs. Like the overflow, water circulation, skimmer, etc.

Do you run a Calcium Reactor?

Also, what did you use to measure pH? Plenty of seasoned reefers here to help diagnose the issue and help get you back on track. A pic of the tank would be helpful.

I just add a mesh bag of crushed coral into my filter. It seems to do the trick. It is something I once thought of.

As mentioned, it would help to know more.
Has your pH been higher in the past? Stability is more important than chasing a specific number.
How often and what time(s) of day have you tested? pH can change related to time of day (more specifically, related to the lighting schedule)
What are your other test results? Have they fluctuated?
This is a good introduction to pH here http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-09/rhf/, and you should also take a look at the Reef Chemistry forum on MARSH... This is a good reference page Reef Chemistry Links | Marine and Reef Chemistry

Typically 7.8 to 8.4 is the range with 8.2-8.3 being the sweet spot.

When I had the Calcium Reactor running...my pH got as low as 7.4 and I had 3 $80 lab grade probes and 3 different pH meters. So I know it was accurate.

Have you calibrated your probe? I suggest getting quality probe if you don't have one.

That’s not what I’m talking about, I know what is an acceptable range. I’m talking about a daily fluctuation. I go from 8.0 to 8.2 over a 24 hr period. Is there a way to stabilize it other than what I’m doing. Run fuge at night and co2 scrubber on the skimmer.

8.0 to 8.2 isn’t bad. That’s pretty stable. Your pH will always naturally fluctuate with the photo period. If you’ve noticed, the 8.2 will be at your peak photo period. So if you’re already running a fuge reverse 🔄 light cycle and have the scrubber running there’s not too much more you can do. If you want to try and tighten it up, you could dose Kalk on the low end. You can also increase the intensity or size of your Fuge. If you only have one canister for your CO2 scrubber, you could add a second canister and try to make it more effective at night.
