I just tested the RO water for phosphate. I was surprised of the level .15. That explained why after I do a water change I see algae films on the glass the next day. The TDS meter is showing 001. Is it time to change out the DI? How often do you guys change your filter, DI and membrane on the RO unit?

PO4 that high with a 0.01 TDS..................something isn't right there.
I would double check both, maybe recalibrate your TDS meter or your PO4 checker is off.
I change the Sediment filter every 100 gallon cause our water is just full of crap here.
The micron carbon blocks and I have two will change when the TDS is 0.03
And the color-changing DI resin filter speaks for it self, but Probably when about 75% of it is changed color it will go.
The RO about every year, I have one of Rush's (BFS) new MAXR RO membranes, they are superior I must say.
I might do over kill by changing to soon on my filters but I just don't want to Crash the coral party, I have it where I want to be.
Again everybody is different in the system of changing the filters, I just don't want to re-event the wheel, as you know what I mean!!

Maybe Rush can chime in on this.
