Does anyone dose Phytoplankton? If yes have you seen good results or if you did and stopped, why did you stop?

I have a subscription and use it everyday to feed my pods... not sure if it’s working or not but my mandarin is fat and happy so I assume there is food for it to eat. 🤷🏻‍♂️ F62955DF-DD5F-46F3-8F76-75DB8505F9B1.jpeg

What method are you using to dose and or how do you go about dosing it?

I dos ocean magic daily in both my DT and pod culture. It works great in my opinion. Maybe a little too well. I’m currently looking for another pod eating fish. My mandarin is fat and can’t eat enough pods to put a dent in the population.

I used to dose it and liked it. I was on an auto ship from algae barn too but the kept screwing up and not sending it. I finally just quit asking them.

They have forgotten some items for me as well 🤷🏻‍♂️ But they do send me a gummy fish each month.

I dump a gal to a 200 gal system and leave tank tint green whole night.

One result is that my sun coral is growing everywhere even though I had been giving up feeding them lol

So once you start a successful culture, you can keep producing indefinitely with out buying more?

I saw this kit on Amazon for $35, you get Nanno and Terra, is that a good way to start?

correct. I only do Nanno. THey are the most hardy one. What i do is when i pour 1 gal to my tank i remove 1 gal to dillute the other 4 bottle. Keeping going like this for 2 yr

So you think that is a good price for a starter kit?

Also when you say you take 1 gal and dilute the other 4 bottles. Does that mean each bottle is a half gallon so they equal 2 gallon all together? Basically taking half from each and add more salt water and wait for them to repopulate?

All other are 1 gal too, I only dilute the 4 gal back to 5 gal because I didn’t use that much I dump it in lots to rotifer culture before when I was breeding clownfish
