Anyone got any pics of their DAP tanks? Wanted to get an idea of how they're built and what the quality is. I'm about to go ahead and order a 90g with starphire.

Also, how long did it take your tank to come in?

I have the their 100 gallon and it only took about 5 days to come in. Its one of their standard sizes so they had it on hand. I love the tank nothing back to say about it.

Yep here I found it... I removed some the content that had to do with trying to get a tank from a local LFS.

Steve,

We recently joined up with Deep Sea Aquatics and I am now the general manager at Deep Sea – we are making the same style of PVC bottom aquariums which DAP had been producing. <content removed>

Thanks for your support and for staying in touch with me.

Best regards,

I have their 100 gal. also. It took about a week to come in. I have no complaints on the quality. Very well built. They are just like the old Oceanics.

What's the weight like? I know they have a PVC bottom, but they have 1/2" glass.

Not sure how much mine weighed but it took two of us to move it. It was pretty heavy. I think my glass was thicker then 1/2". I'll have to measure it when I get home.

You can't tell much by this pic but here's mine when it was brand new.

I had them build me a 36" cube last Oct. It's still sitting on my shop floor waiting to go to my house  The tank is abosulutly beautiful and craftmanship was very well. It's empty if you ever want to stop by and take a look at their quality.

Thanks for the info guys. Anyone have a DAP tank with a corner overflow? I just started thinking about the bulkhead hole locations and whether it's going to work with my DIY stand or not. Wondering if the 2x4's are going to be in the way.

So apparently the tank Donnie ordered for me wasn't a DAP tank. It's from a new company called "Planet Aquarium" that was started by a guy who worked for DSA.

Has anyone bought one of these or seen them at city pets? He said the quality is supposed to be better than DSA or DAP. I hope so considering I thought I ordered a DAP tank.

So does it have a pvc bottom, or all glass? What size did you order, what's the glass thickness?

It's a 90g, same dimensions as a standard 90g AGA, but with a custom overflow location and overflow holes to works with my stand.

Supposed to be a PVC bottom, not sure about the glass thickness.

I'm interested in seeing it when you get it in. I may be on the market for a 96x24x24 soon.

These are the last tanks we bought from them last week. Most were rimless, but I can assure you, quality is like "old" Oceanic.
