I'm looking for a store that can build a wooden frame (like a paiting frame type) for my future inwall tank.. Can you suggest me a good local store that would do that?
go to a picture frame store. they have better quality frames. You dont want to make your tank look cheesy with some cheap frame. Make sure you match it up with your future furniture and walls. I went to about 15 different ones until I found the best frame store. Its called K's Art & frame on 249/1960 (next to AMC Willowbrook). The guy there is REALLY good and understood what I was doing.
Invincible, that metal frame is way cool to see in person. I'd go w/ the wooden frame for easier to match w/ furniture, and properly call that store up soon. thanx
I also bought the black border because the inside of my frame that covered the acrylic was only about 1/4-1/2. In my mind, i though that the surface water at the very top of the tank will show and I didnt want that. Sure enough, if I didnt use that black border, you would of been able to see the water level at the top.
