How many other people thought their tank cracked the first time they heard the pistol shrimp snap? 8O My harlequin shrimp went onto pistol shrimp turf and was punked out and crawled back to his rock with his tail between his legs.... it was funny.

I was wanting to get a yellow watchman and then a pistol to pair with her.

What is the best reef safe one?

I also want some cleaner shrimp - will there be any issue?

I am also afraid that they will be hiding too much to be worth the bio load - thoughts?

i think I have one in my tank except i have no proof lol.. never seen one and I never find any shells or missing things but I can hear something that I feel is a pistol shrimp. and to answer your question, yes, it sounds like one of the panes of glass is splitting apart and will blow out at any second

Get a small peppermint one...very bright colors and fun to watch. Whenever a hermit gets into his hole, he snaps at it then proceeds to try to shove it out. lol
