Here is a pic of the Plating purple monti cap I got from scottk about 2 months ago...it has about doubled in size.

Is this the one he got from you Reefalot?

And here's Edward's Orange Monti from the Orange Monti Frag Party last Friday!

You're very welcome! I like the look of the Radiums!! What ballast are you using? Radiums always bring out the colors of SPS. Ill be getting some new bulbs soon that will color up my corals soon too.

We could have a grow-out contest, Al, since I have some of the same of each. My purple M. cap that I got from Scott via ReefALot has doubled in size, too. It was about even with the plug all the way around, and now it hangs off a good inch plus all the way around. That's about two months of growth!

And my Edward orange monti frag I have yet to mount...can't decide where to put it yet, but I'll be curious to see how fast it grows.

I think it's both the camera and the lighting... it is a nice color orange....darker than when it was in Edwards frag tank...to my eye anyway.

I met Reefalot at Edward's Orange Monti Frag Fest last Friday and when I told him I had a few hard corals yada yada yada...he mentioned that you had gotten your P. Monti from him.....go figure..

If I could take a decent pic I'd figure out how to post it. I'm usually pretty good with a camera, but not when it comes to snapping shots of my tank. I have one pic of it after about a month.

I have 400 W 10K XMs, and it's sitting more towards the middle right of the tank.

Those are really awesome.....

The Purple monti cap from Sott was only about an inch or so long when I got it from him.

I have to sleep now and dream of the monti's growing.........


Ok...you will have to show me your tank when I pick up the reactors now....I won't be able to stand it. LOL

AL, its tanks.

I can't do a grow out with yall of the Purple, but I can go along with yall with the orange.
I have mine under a Icecap ballast 150W DE. My Orange looks like it might have some small growth already on an inside plate where it was froming an extension plate.

Hey Karen, I haven't anchored mine down yet either, I need a big enough piece of rubble to put it on.

Reefalot - I am going to have to get with you soon, about quite a bit of stuff. So tell me a good day to call you.
