Please help me with the 12 gallon (1 Viewer)

I have a eclipse system 12 that I want to turn into a reef tank. All I really want to have is maybe an anemone and some mushrooms. Does anyone know where I can find a light that will fit under the existing hood and support the anemone and mushrooms? It came with a 13w power compact.

They have retro kits that convert you to PC's on eBay or at some LFS> You should call some and see.

Either ditch the hood and use a 96W powerquad or 70W mh or put 2x32 pc retrofit in it. Do a search on www.nano-reef.com and you ll find plenty of ppl doing the same thing you want to do.

You can buy the 96W powerquad retrofit bulb, ballast and reflector on Ebay for cheap... I got two for 79.00 each. PM me if you can't find them and I'll dig up the vendor. They always have them listed.
