I was wonder if anybody cultures their own pods for a mandarin. Any ideals for a cheap set up? How hard is it? What equiptment needed? And what is the process you use and works.

To specifically answer your question tailored to your situation, we would need to know what your situation is. How big is your tank? How old is your tank? How much live rock do you have? How big is your sump? How much space do you have?

I do not have to culture pods at all but I have a large tank with established live rock and a fuge in the sump. The population of pods in my tank reproduces faster than my mandy can eat them. If I had a 20gallon, or had a large population of fish that competed for pods, I would probably have to culture them in a separate aquarium that is potentially even larger than the display or purchase pods which to sustain a mandy would get very expensive.
