I have always kept pygmy angels in my reef tanks (tanks I have now are too small tho). Have successfully keep potters, flame, eibli.... kept the eibli in a 125 with I think it was the flame angel... They set up "rounds" in the tank, with their favorite places to pick. They like the mucus on some corals and calms (just under the mantle, tho some have reported pygmy angel fish nipping at clams). They need an environment with lots of interesting crevices, and are OK with coral as long as they have a variety to choose from... they do not eat coral but they do nip at it to get the mucous. We also kept ours fat with Formula One and sea veggies. Pygmies do well with tangs, and they will dominate new inhabitants for a bit, but this can be minimized by introducing more docile species first or by placing a new addition in a transparent crate or container for a period before letting them roam free.
Also pygmies won't continue bothering a fish that doesn't respond do dominant behavior, such as most gobies, and perhaps some wrasse.
I hope that helps! They are among my favorite!
