Hey guys, I have just bought a powder blue this weekend . It was eating well Saturday and Sunday then today acting strangely. Stays corner of tank during feeding would go after but won’t actually eat. Saturday Sunday I fed spirulina brine I tried nori but wouldn’t go after it . I’m trying to figure out how to load a video here .

First time going through something like this I’ve always had fish that were stressed free till powder blue!

Upon putting Powder blue in that frightened both my wrasse which have both tried to jump numerous times. Tang doesn’t go after them but they are intimidated. My 2 clowns aren’t phased at all

So.. you introduced him straight to your tank without QT? Or is this a QT?
I couldn't tell very clear from the video, but it looks like it shows ich in the (black) gills section?
If so, start QT with Copper right away or he will be a goner within a couple of days.

If he's in your display tank, I would suggest you remove and QT all your fish and have your DT go fallow for 72 days.

For sure did a sinful thing in the reefing hobby. I had my friend quarantine and treat for copper. Tang did well till it was introduced to my tank

Take all your fish out and start QT as soon as possible. Be careful with the wrasses and Copper.
For the Powder Blue, go straight to the therapeutic level. You can mix mysis or brine shrimp with Selcon or VitaChem and add two drops of garlic.
Add Nori as well. You need to get him eating ASAP.

Maybe @Humblefish have any other suggestions for immediate treatment. Don't wait long or he will not make it.

I was able to setup a last min qt tank using tank water from DT . Placed rock from dt to qt tank . And air stone . Just doesn’t seem healthy still are those stress markings anything to worry about ? Has dark spots on the bottom

1) Use fresh SW water for the QT. If you use water from your DT, you are transferring over any pathogens into your QT.
You don't want to move water infested with those into your QT!
2) Do not use any porous rock or substrate in a QT. Just get some PVC elbows.
3) Air stone... Good. Make sure you have plenty of oxygenation and oxygen exchange especially if you have to use medication
4) Have you started any treatment?

The last video shows a better picture. Looks like there is no ich, but he's definitely stressed.
Did your friend treat for parasites?

Any update on the PBT?

Any update on the PBT?

I came home from work and it was done [emoji24] . I don’t get what was stressing it . None of the fish I had in the tank picked on it. It was eating well then Monday . I was told could be voltage in tank that may cause it . Few friends say it didn’t look like ich. But more so stress markings

Sorry to hear about your powder blue. I like to keep my tank toasty now and then. Between 80f and 83f to kill off those nasty parisites

John:

Best advice from someone that lost $1k + in fish due to a SINGLE fish introduced that had velvet...
QT all fish you get. Either with Copper, then PraziPro, General Cure, Antibiotics, etc for at least 30 days prior to introducing to your tank.

Both @Galactic Coral and @fjwaquarium have powder blue in stock (if not sold already)

I have never had a powder blue... I have been told they are hardier than Dori. Now I have a yellow and a grey tang. I am hoping the grey is a male and gets streamers later in life . Ya
