So i have a PM2 module and im thinking of adding the salinity and also ORP. Has anyone used other brands of ORP probes? I've heard of the issues with the salinity probe do any of you have a work around for the issues with microbubbles and such...

you should be able to use 3rd party for ph and orp (std. bnc connection). Salinity is going to be more difficult to match the pins etc.

Yeah I'm sure we've had this conversation before. I'm just thinking about the accuracy as far as trying to get better readings if anyone has experience using the salinity probe....

:)

maybe try this hack...(assuming you have something else you trust to measure salinity). I have a refractometer and hannah tester that I use.

I have the salinity probe - still sitting in a box... o_O

I have three running and found they do best when mounted at an angle, not up and down, in a calm part of the sump. This helps bubbles roll off. Also don't let the cord touch any power cords, a lot of power near any of the probes or cords seems to throw them off in my experience. Once you get them settled they stay pretty steady.
