Anyone have experience with this? Does anyone know if you are supposed to turn off the skimmer?

It doesn't mention in the directions. I started it about 3days ago and am about half way thru the process. Seems to be having a good effect so far, but that could also just be the natural life cycle of the ich.

I'd use Chloroquine Phosphate or Copper Safe for Velvet and treat out of the display in a smaller QT tank while doing a few transfers to gain control if it's bad.

The fallow period for Velvet is 6 weeks.

Thanks Reefaholic. I have not been able to trap the infected fish. Therefore I'm having to try an in tank treatment. Normally I would always prefer to treat in a QT. I have been hearing great things about this product....So fingers crossed!

Yeah, it's hard to catch fish. One of the reasons why I personally stay minimal with aquascapes now.

Haven't heard too much about that product so I can't really give opinions on it. If it's not successful, I have some Chloroquine Phosphate ur welcome to anytime.

Do you have any pictures of the disease?

This is the best I could get. It's also on my Bariene tang, but not quite as bad. Yellow tang has like 2 spots. Gobies, wrasses, clowns and copperband all look fine.

Uh oh... Tangs are ich magnets. You can put copper in a fowlr tank but it will be hard on the fish. If it were me I would think hard about it though. It will be hard on the fish. I'm old school so hopefully something else works

I've got a big trap. It's actually easier to catch my big fish than it is my smaller ones. You are welcome to borrow it.
