I have a ph-2500 power head that goes to my skimmer. Well this pump humms and clicking sound while in operation. I can remove the air line and let pump free flow and noise goes away. Anyone have a clue what I am hearing? Any way to fix it?

Have you taken the pump out and cleaned it?
A good vinegar bath might help.

You need to get used to it because it won't go away. You can try to clean it with vinegar or you might have to buy a new shaft but it is just a bad pump design. I had these a long time ago.
