Well, an update on my 265 project

img_0009.jpg

On 10-05 I was able to turn the pumps on with RO/DI water for the first time, and fiddle with what would soon become my skimmer :D

Tonight I moved the rest of the "non-coral" supporting rock into the tank. Boy, does my 135 look empty now......

Hopefully (wife willing) I can finish the lighting canopy this weekend, and get the light board finished and installed on Monday so I can move the corals over....

Looking good Matt, I really liked those rotating pumps on the PVC. I hope I get to see the new lights when I pickup my sand.

nice to meet you btw :)

Thanks Brian. It was also a pleasure to meet you!

The lights are now ON (using a very VERY ghetto setup, but the real light board) and everyone is officially living in their new house today!!! My wife and I spent about 4 hours netting fish, shrimps, and moving coral supporting rocks....

Pics are updated (in a little bit) at:

Sure...

they are Ocean Currents Wavemakers. Check out their website for options / products. Basically the models that Brian was referring to are the pressure-powered rotating pulsers.
