Got my 125g wet last night. Is there a way that you can stop a leaking joint after it has been glued? I have a couple of joints on my return side that are leaking at the elbows. Should I attempt to just slap some more glue on the outside? I realize that even the slow "drips" will eventually stop with salt creep, I am just trying to isolate where the water is coming outside the sump area (my main issue/could be a leaky sump). Currently scratching my head.

I would cut and redo. So you are not relying on a bead of glue.
Use couplings if you need to. Not hard to do and will be much safer. Especially on the return side where you have a lot of pressure.
Also, you should never have leaks if joined properly.
Use the primer to prep the pvc. It softens it and makes the two pieces bind on a molecular level. Use plenty of glue on both pieces. And give it a quarter twist as you push the two pieces together and hold for 5-10 seconds.

Exactly what Dennis said.

Alright, still evaluating the PVC issue. Ben I saw your PM may give you a call later thanks bud. The primary issue of the system leak I found was in my refugium bulkhead. I must have missed it last night since the lighting wasn't as good.

Back to the other issues:

Does anyone know where to get smooth spa flex? I think instead of re-gluing one of my drains that is leaking I am going to replace it with that. Just not sure about the bend radius. Its going to be on the drain closest to the sump which has a pretty steep curve to where it enters the sump, redoing the plumbing with hard pvc there just doesnt put a smile on my face.

What size? Lowes sells spa flex. I have some extra black spa flex i had ordered online, just can't remember off hand what size it is.

Thanks all for the support. To provide a more thorough update to the situation. When I started the tank after a couple hours I noticed some water inside the stand and on the floor. Not a lot but a little. Further investigating proved that I had a very very slow leak from 2 elbow locations on my return lines as well as a drain that I need to redo because of the angles. My initial thoughts were this was the cause to the water on the floor. This running toward the end of the night I cleaned up the water and shut the system down for the night. Woke up to go to work. More water. How can that be? Long story short after another day or so the cause of the leak was pinpointed to 2 bulkheads that connected my sump and refugium together. Similar to D2minis setup. It took me a while to find this leak because it was dark and I had previously leak tested that part of the system. What happened in between is my Cane Corso got ahold of the ball valve on that connection and probably thought it was a toy. It's slightly chewed up. Figures.

All is well now. I am going to continue on with my build as I have other pressing things I need to complete. The leaks from the PVC have stopped or almost minimized to this point and are over water either way.

For those interested I will be posting a semi complete build thread here in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned for the 125g out of Cypress!
