What kind of pygmy angel? Are you talking about the cherub or flameback angelfish or all dwarf angelfish in general?

If so, the cherub and flameback angelfish (but not the flame angelfish) are listed as among the most reef-safe angelfish in Scott's Reef Fishes series.

I've had flame angels and coral beauties with no problems. That said, for every one of "me", there's gonna be another who will tell you that their angel tore their reef apart. They can do well for quite some time, then suddenly decide they want to start nipping. It's just a risk with this group of fish. You never know. As with many aspects of this hobby, sometimes you just have to give it a go and see how things play out.

I dont know what type it is but its scientific name is Centropyge argi. I think I wont take the risk since I plan on spending a lot more on corals. I dont want a $20 fish destroying hundreds of dollars worth of coral.

That's a Cherub (sp?) angelfish. Again, might/probably nip at occasional LPS/SPS polyps.

Yes, that's the cherub angelfish. As rxonco mentioned, always a risk. All angelfish are.
