First time having a tank drilled and wondering how folks are doing their return plumbing into their bulkheads.

Are you using a slip 90 degree and gluing into the bulkhead or using threaded bulkhead and threaded bend with Teflon tape?

Thanks,
Josh

On the outside of the tank going into the sump I use threaded and on the inside of tank I glue.

I personally usr slip and glue.

Also, if you're going to rely on a hole to stop the reverse syphon, the make two. That's just so that if one is clogged, you should have another open to stop the syphon.

I use the hole to break the siphon but I also have an anti-backflow valve on the output line from the pump as well.

Those mess up easily, drastically lower your flow rate, and are noisy.

I use 3/4" return pipe and everything slip. I like 3/4" for the return because the Loc-Line is 3/4"

The bulkheads I use are thread on the flange side (inside the tank). The Loc-Line has a connector (I'll post pic below) that will screw right into the bulkhead. Then you just add extra segments for length and then flare nozzles or whatever at the end. I prefer flares.

The outside...I use a regular 90 elbow and glue.

Like others have said...drill a anti siphon hole or keep your Loc-Line near the surface (good for surface agitation) so that your sump can handle any back siphon should the power go out. You have then too low and you could have 60 gallons on the floor because it will back siphon until it reaches that level as we all know.
