does too much flow contribute to bubbles forming??

im starting to get bubbles everywhere, on the reef ready box's, and on the LR's

mag5 and mak9.5 are return pumps

Yeah, if your sump cant handle the flow, it will create bubbles. Can you describe a little more about how your tank is setup?

toan are you using filter socks and sponges in your sump?

yea i have a filter sock that the tank drains into the left side of the sump

then it goes over the refuge

then over the water level baffle of the refuge at a high rate, which is then caught by a sponge because it causes air bubbles

i was looking a little closer and noticed that the sponge still allowed microbubbles to pass.. so i may have to use something else...=\ maybe have a few more sponges so that it wont fall on it, rather trickle down?
