I added an RBTA yesterday, and after wandering around for a day, he seems to have snuggled up to my clam.

Should I try to move one of em? Give em a couple of days to sort it out?

Thanks, any suggestions are much appreciated!

if you want to move it but not stress it out too much, take a maxi jet powerhead and aim it at the foot of the anemone. the anemone will move on its own.

but if neither seems bothered, i would leave them.

I agree you should just watch them. It will not bother the RBTA. IF the clam is irritated, you will be able to tell.

Seeing as how it's probably going to move again, maybe even a couple of more times before really sticking to a spot, I'd just wait and see. I've seen RBTA's along side of all kinds of things without any trouble. I don't think they pack much of a wallop in their nematocysts, or are very selective about what they discharge them into.

In my experience, RBTA are particularly unfriendly to SPS. Zoas are less severely affected. It may not bother the clam at all since the clam lack nematocysts entirely.
