So I finally got my new aquarium and stand. Glasscages did amazing work, but they only offered painting for the stand finish. So, I went with an unfinished stand and am looking for local recommendations to get the stand and canopy stained. Thanks!

If you are interested in doing it yourself, this is what I used. It turned out really well. I did not ending up using the clear coat though as I though it was a bit too shiny for my taste.

Pardon the necro, but maybe try something like Walnut oil..it'll give a lil luster and some protection for the wood/stain finish.

Thanks for the info. The only protection I really needed though was the bottom of the stand where the sump/equipment sits and I lined the whole thing with a piece of clear, laser cut acrylic.
