Hello all.
I have had cyano before and have used Red Slime remover before to get rid of it.
What i have now growing is like a red algae or fur over my rock work. I do weekly water changes and keep my params in check. I do not have the slime type on the sand bed. This is literally like a fur that does not just come off when you use a tooth brush to clean.
So I did notice that it started when I began dosing more additives to the tank. Additives I mean by Reef Chilli, Oyster feast, Phyto fest, Stump remover mix and Fuel. The Reef Chilli and Fuel to feed the corals. The oyster feast, Phyto fest to raise phos. The Stump remover to raise the nitrates. I have no nuisance algea. I had to cut the run time of my skimmer because it was literally over-skimming my tank.
If you have had dealings with this or know a good way to get rid of this, I would appreciate the advice.
