Need help identifying this red macro. I think it's Rhodophyta, but not sure. Also wanted to know if this is fish food, good for nutrient export, or decorative.

Yes I believe it is rhodophyta, but that is a huge phylum. Specifically, I believe it could be a species of halymenia.

Wonder if tangs will eat it? I don't have any in my tank., I have a separate refugium and just trimmed a couple large baggies of it. It shows nice in a main tank too.

I have some of that, my lemon peel doesn't seem interested in it and he eats almost any algae.
