just wondering of the best solution to this ploblem, any product in particular i can use?, pick the busgs from a lfs two months ago, :mad: what do you guys do to the newly acquired sps before introducing to the tank?quarantine,chemical dip, thanks in advance.

I would try picking up a clown or citron goby. Gobiodon okinawae/hystrix/citrinus. They are symbiotes with Acropora species, and I've seen them groom the corals of parasites on which they live.

or you can just dose your reef with interceptor. Works wonders, I dosed once and havent seen 1 bug since.

just out of curiousity, but what size interceptor do you use? they have different concentrations of medicine for various sizes of dogs. Do you just use one tube of the kind for the smallest dogs?

interceptor in the pill form is what everyone uses. You can find the thread about red bugs using the search function on this website. I think there was a link given with proper dosing instructions.

i read somewhere on RC that red bugs detrimental to corals is not documented. There's no scienctific proof theyre the culprit
