My <1 year old 280 gallon tank is doing really well and is keeping me busy but a few months ago I decided to add another tank to the mix and replace my previous 57 gallon tank with a much higher quality installation. I ordered a 57 gallon rimless (37 7/8 x 18 11/16 x 18 1/2) tank from Reef Savvy and a custom stand from Benner's Woodworking. I hope to have the tank and stand no later than September and will document the build in this thread.

Mark - I am really excited as well. The tank should look great. It will be a rimless design with with a phantom bottom, ghost overflow, blacked out back, with starfire glass on three sides.

Billw - I don't think he has started mine. That was another Houston bound tank for someone else.

Man, that would be a deal breaker for me. That's just waaaaaaaay toooo looooong!

Good looking tank or not, I would never wait nearly a year. Plenty of good builders out there.

Miracles has been building since 1989 and the head builder since 1991. I trust them over about everybody including Reef Savvy. When you've built tanks for 25+ years...you have seen it all.

I know that there are other good tank builders out there. I don't mind the wait as it gives me lots of time to plan the build and source the other equipment. Planning the build and the tank setup is one of my favorite parts of owning a reef tank.

Hey man I see your located in Dickinson? Where at? I live right in Santa Fe. Always cool to see reefers in the area close to you.

-Matt

I'm pretty close to you also. Always thought there would be more reefers down south than there are.
