Probably not the best choice for a lower flow tank but I have two of the Neptune WAV power heads and a eheim return pump. If Neptune ever releases the COR return pump I will use one of those.

Yes, in an effort to make things look cleaner I plan on moving the chiller into the stand. I have air intake slots on the front of the stand and a cut out the full profile of the chiller in the back of the stand.

OK gotcha. Just make sure you have good airflow between the chiller/stand/wall. My chiller puts off some serious heat and it's sitting next to my stand. I can walk into the room and tell a temp difference when it was just running.

I don't have the stand yet but it is on order. I expect them to be cut with a CNC router and look perfect.

Yeah, I figured that.

Ive been looking for a slot template like that. I found a few, but not exactly the size I want.

I found a way to do it near perfect by drawing circles and using a level or straight edge to mark a straight line that goes from one circle to the other. Both on top edge and bottom edge of circles to join them horizontally. Then you cut out the middle.

So I was reading some post today about the Neptune WAV and how many people with sub 100 gallon tanks are complaining that they provide too much flow for some types of tanks (LPS). Because I plan on keeping seahorses and other slow moving fish in this setup I have concerns that I may have made a bad choice going with to WAV pumps. What do you think? Can I make them work or should I look for an alternative?

That's what someone locally in Austin felt as well for her tank... too overpowered for her 125 gallon LPS tank, even in the lowest setting.

While I'm a fan of the integrating into a controller, the thought of having pumps that only work with an Apex is what turned me off on them.
