I so wanted that truck!! I still think its a nice truck and can do everything including power the house but I read some bad reliability ratings on it that put on the breaks! I too was considering it because of the onboard 20a/30a outlets got camping.

First time browsing marsh in over a year, first post I see is yours jokin a bout losing power. PTSD is settin in from that winter storm.

Fish room is lookin legit, cant wait to check it out!
Oh it's still under construction. Hoping to make more progress over the next week though. After I finish painting the house, that is. Always something...

And yeah, that storm was nothing to mess with. We just had a flash storm come out of nowhere last week. Left people without power for a while. The weather is getting worse.

The only things thta keep my natural-gas-converted generator from starting are bad spark plugs or low batteries. Long gone are the days of gelled up carburetors. Those are the problem 95%+ of the time when you're running gasoline.

I like this little Honda because I can turn the gas off and drain it out of the carburetor before I store it. I just hate gas altogether.

Yeah for sure. It burns better and provides more power than NG or propane, but it brings a lot of problems with it as well, especially if you're not using it regularly.

I make a trip to bucees waller and spend an extra dollar to buy non-ethanol (corn) fuel. That corn is what gums the carbs up even worse. It last longer also so not worried about it going bad when I put it into the cars. I run propane also. Also use a trickle charger on your battery

Consumer Reports gigs every new car/truck that comes out for having bad reliability. Usually takes a 2-3 years before enough are actually out in the wild to get a good sample size for their surveys to be accurate. On top of that CR gets a large portion of it's donations from corporate sponsors so you can bet that their reports just like JD Power and others are skewed. I have had mine for a year and the only issue I have had with it was the heat exchanger (a component unique to the PB) developed a coolant leak and was fixed with a pair of $5.60 fittings. Other than that one issue it has been absolutely flawless.

On a different note I would have gotten one or two of the EcoFlow Delta Pro inverters for short term outages if I didn't buy the F150 PB. Those things are amazing.

Hope u got a chiller without AC
That ain’t not joke. I don’t! If I did, my small generator wouldn’t be able to run that along with everything else.

Last year…I filled several milk jugs with RODI and Froze them. Probably wouldn’t last more than about 2-3 days, but it would buy me some time to think. Maybe I should think now, and figure out a better plan.
