We have never been to any of these shows but are going to try to make it to the Houston shows in Nov and Dec. If we are ok with lower end corals is there any benefit to going to the big shows in Dallas?

Bigger vendors, not as many garage sellers plus a chance to see some cool products.

You likely won't find any great deals on coral, especially lower end ones. Still could be a fun time though, not trying to discourage you

I would like to learn more about the Hydros system. Haven't seen any update for the December show here in Houston to see if they will be present.

My main hope for the Houston show is to find some nice additions without the shipping charges of online stores that make me feel like I need to order more frags to get my money worth haha.

Should be a nice selection of corals in the Houston show- I went to the Austin show a while back and mostly same vendors come to Houston - selection was good and prices were reasonable.

we got a hydros thread in the equipment forum. Hop in and ask away.

I went to reefapalooza last year and it was cool to see the hydros stuff in person.

To bad Houston rarely gets a big show, I hate Dallas with a passion cant stand going there lol IDK why all the shows always hit Dallas. Must be the airport or logistics. Hell I would rather a show be in San Antonio or Austin over Dallas lol

I wish Houston would pull in a big show like Reefapolooza.

I saw a think on YouTube not long ago basically saying Dallas is in a great central location basically half way between New York and LA with a large airport. I'm no pilot but I'd imagine Houston is only like an hour difference flying. And a MUCH better city!

We had Reef Currents for a while. That was a really nice show. Definitely not nearly as large as reefapalooza but a respectable size for sure
