Is it consistent on being off 2.6? Or does that fluctuate

Stays pretty consistent at 2.6. I e tried changing the temp compensation but the range isn't big enough to get it down to where it needs to be.

Maybe the calibration fluid is off? I would set it to match the refractometer and watch to see if the two match over the course of time.

That's the problem. There's not enough range on the temp compensation to get it that low.
