I wouldn't, tons of elbow grease required and if you goof the seal, tons of water will be on your floor one day when you least expect it. Starphire is nice looking but honestly not that much better to be worth all the labor required to do this. Plus, it scratches super easy.I was thinking about replacing my front pane of glass with low iron and breaking down/resealing the entire tank. Has anyone done this or recommend someone that can do this?

The biggest challenge is removing the plastic trim from the tank you're doing it on. Once removed, you'll have to order a replacement plastic trim or go with euro-bracing/custom trim. You'd be surprised how important that tiny little thin piece of plastic is to the integrity of your tank.

Yes..Just for knowledge do all low iron glass scratch easier?
Yes..
could be... could also be that the more money the glass costs, the more you notice the scratches. It is like parking lot dings on a porsche vs a 1998 honda civic.
