Has anyone ever redrilled a bulkhead hole in a tank to make it bigger? From say a 1'' bulkhead to a 1.5''. The problem is when I had my 200 gallon tank drilled by a friend the glass flaked around the hole. It still seals well, but when I try to sell the tank it will be a major factor.
Let me know what you guy's think.

It's possible, I go from 3/4" to 1" every now and then. The only concern I have is that the new bit would have to be very high quality and it would have to be done with a press to minimize the chance of chipping. You don't find the bits for that size hole often.

I would buy the bit if I thought it could be done without doing anymore damage to the glass.
I might be selling my tank/downsizing due to the high price of my electric bill.
