My girlfriend found a sailfin at a petco in lewisville near dallas that had fin rot to the point where there was probably 2-3cm of on either side of sails and no tail at all... he also had a pretty bad fungal infection on and around his face area... I went in for a lizard heat bulb and ended up sending a complaint to corporate. they said it would be reported to the manager, I later received a call from "said manager" and she claims it was another fish which attacked... i guess the other fish was using bio warfare too, needless to say she couldnt tell me what kind of fish attacked and insisted that there was no bacterial infection. I'm going to go in tomorrow and see if i can get the little guy for a price cheaper than 35 to rehabilitate him. I'll then be hitting the road with a bubble box and into a qt he'll go when home. Ill be medicating with instant ocean lifeguard tablets and all the love he can handle from the gf until hes better.
Hoping this all goes as planned in a few months there will hopefully be a healthy sail fin up for freezies with the only requirements being a good home!!!
