I am considering switching from RedSea Coral Pro to Reef Crystals once I run out of my stash.

$35 vs $90 is a no brainer for me, plus I no longer want (maybe don’t need) that high Alk either.

What is the maximum limit we can purchase when it’s on-sale at Amazon?

I think reef crystals runs high alk if I'm not mistaken.

BRS did a video about the average salt cost, Tropic Marine Pro is not all that much more in the long run.

The problem with their comparison is that they have the 150g Reef Crystal buckets at $63 dollars when amazon runs the 200g gallon boxes at $35 dollars multiple times per year. Cut the Reef crystals cost per gallon in half then make the comparison.

Me too! I will never use anything but Tropic Marin.

Same here! I'm definitely another advocate for Tropic Marin as well. I think it gets exaggerated in how much more it costs. It's not $100s and $100s more than the other salts. Yes, it does cost more. But like most things you get what you pay for. The balance of Alk, Ca, and Mag is pretty awesome. But the big time selling point for me for Tropic Marin is how well and quickly it mixes up. NO OTHER SALT I've used mixes up completely without any residual precipitates. All the other salts I've used leave something behind. Tropic Marin does not. Ever. That is a testament to its quality. I've also never had Tropic Marin clump up on me after it sits in storage for a few months. Some of the other salts turn into bricks once they sit for a few months. Makes it hard to mix after that. Someone else pointed out that salt is the cheap part of the hobby compared to livestock and equipment. I definitely argue that spending a little more on salt is not going to break the bank for you compared to the amount we spend on livestock. All that said, if you find a salt you like, definitely stick with it. But don't rule out a salt strictly cuz it costs a little more if you've never tried using it. Just sayin.
