Anyone heard of using sargasm(spelling?) seaweed in a refugium?

Not that I can recall, but great to have if you have the little critters from galveston that take shelter in it.

Yes, I heard someone was able to keep it, but for most it just died after a while.

I do not know about using in in a refug but I know people have been able to grow it under MH. You have to get alive sargasum though. The sagrasum that washes up on the shore is dead. You have to go off shore to get alive stuff. I think some one has some alive sargasum in their tank if you ask around

I just threw some out. I needs strong lighting. Mine is under MH but I have also grown it under T5's.
