Has anyone had problems keeping scarlet hermits crabs alive in their tank, mine usually only last about a week or so and then i see start to see them die off. i am not sure if someone in my tank is killing them because i usually find them out of a shell somewhere dead. my water peramiters are good, but i guess i could also get a second reading on that. anyway can someone tell me what there past experience with these critters has been like. thanks.

Mine did fine in my tank. I bought 4 of them for a 55 and I still had all 4 when I tore the tank down a year later. Of course I got scared when the first one molted, I thought one of them had died when I saw the molted shell laying on the sand. I did a quick count and all four were still happily moving around.

I don't think thay endure shipping as well as the others. I've had much better luck with the Halloweens, Zebras, and Blues.
