I wanted to make my official post for running for Vice President.
I have been on the BODs for some time now, serving as both BOD member as well as my current role of President. I have helped grow MARSH membership and was a vital part of bringing a highly successful MACNA to houston.

I also have helped grow and maintain, both the website as well as the system that it runs on.

I have devoted countless of hours to MARSH over the past 6 years, and hope to be able to do so in the future.

If you have any questions for me , Ill do my best to answer them, please let me know.

Do you have any statistics to prove that Marsh membership grew due to your involvement?

What methods or changes will you make to continue the growth of the Marsh organization?

For those that go way back in the club, remember the days of low club finanaces. When I came on we had less the $3000 in the bank account. For the most part, rach event and its raffle sells were relied on to pay for the next event/meeting down the road. It was challenging to juggle the finances just from month to month. Thanks to MACNA we no longer have the month to month financial issues, and am proud to say we have over $40,000 in the bank.

I was co-chair of MACNA and was in charge of all things Vendor, from selling the booths, to vendor relationships, to getting sponsorships, invoicing, etc., I also created the MACNA website, managed the compplete attendee reservation/ticketing process, the program guide, the graphic design work, advertising, plus many other functions.

As far as changes I want to get back to the basics on the club,

I want consistent monthly meetings or events that are scheduled well and advance and stick to that scheduled.

I want a full BOD with everyone participating (which will allow a faster response times to members requests)

I want the people on the website to get to where they realize this is an in-person club and the website is the extension of the club, not the other way around. (Not sure how to accomplish this )

I want the BOD more open and transparent to the members, (Theres a lot done behind the scenes, and I feel alot of people think no website activity from a BOD member = no work, which isnt accurate)

I want to get back to doing more newbie-targeted meetings, like the hands on fragging demos.

I want the membership more active, and attending meetings. (We flew in Bob Fenner and had less then 30 people there! )

Previous to Shane's Presidency, there was a lot of problems within the BOD, a lot of animosity and hard feelings. With his direction, the board became strong and thus so did MARSH. You might want to go back and read some of the History of MARSH before you question his dedication. MARSH would not be where it is today without him, just ask the people who went thru it with him... :D
