Hello everyone. Ive had my tank for about 10 months now. I just added 2 rbta into my tank about 4 days ago and they dont ever seem to open or have the long tentacles that you see. I tested my water every day since and my nitrates seems to be around 30-40. I was thinking of getting a Phosban 150 reactor to help control the nitrates or a refug. which one would work best? Im think of converting a ac110 to a refug, buying a phosban 150 or upgrading my skimmer. what should i do?

What i have: 68g, 5 small fish. lots of other soft and LPS corals, reef breeder LEDs. I run the blues for 12 hrs and the whites for 8. Sump with a pro clear 150 skimmer.

Your skimmer has to be very very good with bio pellets or it will cause more promblems. Also bio pellets takes a long time to "settle in", mine took 3 months before I saw a drop. They are not an acute fix for a chronic promblem.

But first whats the phosphate levels?

A ac110 imho isnt big enough for a real fuge. I like mine atleast 5 gallon capacity.

Sent with the power of children's screams!!!
