Picking up a couple sps frags this weekend and wondering if I should move my mp10 to a spot to provide better flow for them. Everything in my tank is currently happy with the flow pattern but I know the sps won't get what they need in my tanks current state. I shipped my older non functioning mp10 back to ecotech to get fixed and will be adding that to the tank when it gets back. Probably should have waited on the sps frags but I'm too impulsive for my own good. I drew up some silly diagrams of what I have and what I was thinking about doing. First pic is what I currently have and what I believe the flow is doing. Second is what I was thinking about doing. Moving my mp10 to the other side of the tank will surely give the sps enough flow ( I plan on mounting them higher on the rocks). Just worried that the change in flow will make my bta go on a walk about. Just wanted to get yalls thoughts on changing the flow pattern in the tank. Have yall done it before successfully or am I about to have to reposition all my corals after the bta make a break for it?

I can't make any promises, because every tank and nem is different, but I doubt making that change would make the nem move. My mp10 quit working several weeks ago and none of my nems have moved.

I have found that when I want a nem to move, like trying to get it off a rock to sell it, I have to move it very close to a power head and directly blast it, and even then it's not always easy. I don't think the amount of flow change where your nem is will be enough to make it move. Just don't change the lighting or anything else at the same time.

Got my second mp10 back today from eco-tech. My old one I sent back to get fixed was pretty bad and they gave me a good discount on a new one. Gonna set it up tonight or tomorrow. Probably start slow and use the program eco-tech recommends for 2 power heads.
