Interesting stuff... Definitely something to consider! My boss told me his son added $250/mo to his insurance! Yikes! That's for a 16 year old driving a late model Excursion.

Yeah, I miss those pre kid driving days, we were paying about $100 for our 07 Explorer, and $45 for my 87 Mustang. It was about $50 to add my son to the Mustang four years ago, and then when we bought his car, 06 Vibe, my agent put me on it so it was only $80 for full coverage. Now that I bought a 2010 Vibe also, that added $110 to our bill, so I'm paying about $390 a month for 4 cars with a 20 yr old male and 17 yr old female on the coverage! :D They both have all the available good student & drivers ed/ drug awareness discounts, so that saves me like 20% right there.

Edit: I actually got a revised billing notice this past week, and my new monthly total for the 4 cars is now about $317!

These darn kids...that's where I save money. I don't have any kids.

And here I am complaining about $580 every 6 months for insurance on the G. Damn I am glad I dont have kids, probably why I am able to afford the G.

LOL! Tell me about it. When my wife got pregnant with the twins almost 12 years ago, I called them Lexus (GS400) and Swimming Pool before they were born since that was what we were each giving up!
