I've watched, amazed, at how with lightening speed the peppermint shrimp dart about the tank to release their fry, but I'd never gotten a chance to witness what happens afterward. Usually they will go hide after releasing the fry. Once the fry are released, the shrimp will molt and then mate once again. Well, last night I finally got a chance to witness as the peppermint shrimp crawled out of its old skin and then was immediately "pounced" and mated with another. Cool stuff!

All I can see in my head is Jaque from Finding Nemo pouncing on another cartoon shrimp as it undresses and saying muahahahaha, now you're mine and I will have my shrimply way with you.

Neat. I can't wait until video technology catches up with this hobby! I'd love to see that. (is that unhealthy?)

No, the first time our tomato's laid eggs it was in the middle of the day and we set up a camera and recorded it.
Then we played it back for the other clownfish to try and get them in the mood :D , JK.
