Thank you for posting. Your corals look terrific! Any chance you could move the pair to a sump or something to let them breed? I've heard they tend to be very hard to catch?

Yes it's pretty much impossible to catch the sixline wrasses from my tank:) And I don't think I have time right now to messing around with breeding fishes. Maybe oneday mike13oy here will start breeding sixlines when he gets bored w breeding clown fishes:)

I did take a break from caring for the tank for a while during my medical treatments last year. I just let the tank run by itself without water changes and skimmer (which broke down) for several months. I'm surprised the tank was doing not too bad during this time. The weird thing is that most of the high end SPS like pink lamonade, strawberry stag, mariana, red planet fared very well during this lack of maintenance; the red planet grew like weed. On the other hand, most of the super hardy corals like monti caps, bali slimer, birdnests,...died off during this time, considering I used to sell hundreds of frags of those corals every year; thought that they would never die! Now i have more red planet grown in the tank than Bali slimer or monti cap:)

Mike I wish I could catch the Clown pair for you since they have been spawning like crazy since last October. The female laid eggs almost every other weeks. And I couldnt reach their nesting location to collect the eggs. I wonder what happened to the babies? Whether they were eaten by the other fishes, starved or eaten by their own parents? Attached is a pic of a batch that's close to hatching.
