I have kept my nano reef for two years without a skimmer, but I am about to setup my 58 as a dwarf lionfish tank and will surely need a skimmer. My problem however is that I am not very wise when it comes to skimmers since I have never used one. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I should buy from, specific brands to look at, etc? This will be an in sump skimmer and I am not wanting to spend more than $200. Thanks.

make yourself one out of acrylic (or call kevin) and slap a maxijet w/ the bioball mod on there.

If you want a big dog for the messy eater, got to Kevin (ReefALot) tell him you want a small. You will want a large skimmer for what you will have for that is a messy hog you want, I want one too.

I wanted one so bad I had thought about putting it in our next tank, even though it would be an SPS tank. Decided I needed to wait for a FO side tank.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I may end up getting an Aqua C EV120, since I have come across a good deal on one. Might as well do it right the first time and not have to worry about things in the future.
