I am having issues with my reef octopus skimmer. Bought second hand so not sure of the model but it is one of the newer ones I believe. My "bubble line" is to high up the neck causing it to over flow. I have to keep the intake up against the sump wall to restrict the flow. That would suggest to me that the water line is to high ( side note, I hate the sump I have but it came with the tank.) . Any suggestions? I have the skimmer up on a clay pot so it really isn't that far down in the water. Half the height of the skimmer? Maybe a little less. I'm getting frustrated with it. Should I look into a shorter model such as a life reef or something along those lines?
