I have a snail that has been on a powerhead ever since I got it. I need to take the PH out and clean it --- How do I get the snail to let go without hurting it?

Run a fingernail under it, as tightly as you can to the powerhead it's lodged on until it lets go. That or a bit of ice rubbed on its foot should make it recoil.

Why not just pulling them? There snails, they are really tough.....I can see it now....Third world collectors, walking around with ice so they dont hurt the zillion snails they have to collect that day. :)
