I'm still very new to saltwater . My tank around 8 months . it's not all that
. I'm just wanting to see what you guys think so far on how i set up. Alot of you guys gave me great advice on how to set up. I guess you can say lil update on my tank . here the pics

What kind of lighting are you using? Some T5's in the right color combination would really make the colors come out.

72 gal 100 + live rock w/ 35 gal refuge .yea i'm lil over stock on fish . but the water is super clean ,temp 79f rate 0 rite o ammo 0 phos 0 cal. 400 ph8.2 running 24 hr cheato with skimmer.

I have small safin tang, yellow tang , yellow eye tang , 2 blue tangs the size of a damsel, 6 damsel, maroon clown, 2 nemos, fire shrimp , madrine goby , 1ft Snow flake eel. pink benny , green spoted puffer and cholate star fish ( star and puffer live in my refuge)a .
I'm going to break my 210 fresh water tank down soon to go mabe fish only.

It's a nice tank but I have to agree. Don't get rid of your fish, just upgrade! :D


my lights 4x65w antic compact and 2x 250w mh ( i need to replce my mh soon i think it already been year already got the light used for 200 bucks). Didn't turn my antic on when i took the picture . all the pic are from my cell phone .

Good news, because that fishload really needs a 200+ gallon tank. Maybe larger.

maybe but why not spend the money and do things right the first time and save yourself a hasle in the long run.....sump/refuge is the only way to go

With the coral, I'd run a fuge. The problem with the canister, is that it doesn't do anything as far as biological filtration. And you need to clean it constantly, because it traps the detritus it doesn't remove it from the water column like a skimmer would.
