Before anyone decides to bite my head off at this post i must say, this is just a question out of curiosity. i am in no way planning on doing this nor am i condoning doing this..

I came across an article about manually splitting rose bubble tip anemones with a razor blade. i even found a video posted by bulk reef supply on their youtube channel on how to do it. im just curious to know if anyone has actually split their anemone and how it worked out.

Yes, u can use a razor blade. wear gloves when doing it.
Karlo and I showed marsh members how to frag anemones when we had Frag Demo event in the past at Hickory Hollow.

Yup, no problem doing it, just make a clean cut through the middle of the mouth. Heals pretty quickly.

Mine is Splitting

My rose anemone grew exponentially it about two weeks and has started to split itself. Its been in my tank for almost 5 months. Mixed reviews on whether this happens in aquariums often under its own power. I have recently added a Kessill LED (amazing) and everything seems to love it along with changing to frozen brine rather than freeze dried. Not sure if this is doing it, but either way its a pretty cool process to observe.

yea nothing wrong with it, like Cat said just make that cut as clean as possible you don't want to hack saw it with a razor blade. Ideally you want a smooth slice, get some 4" razors from home depot and clean them off with alcohol to remove the oil on them then make your cut. be sure to cover your pump intakes incase one of the halves starts to walk on you. or better yet if you have a smaller tank with nothing but a HOB filter and a light that makes it easy to remove them and or sell one off when they heal.
