270/g sounds great. What are the dims Jason?

Sorry about the old tank? Hope there were no wood floors in the tank area. That's the reason I don't like holes in the bottom panel. One little crack and the whole tank drains.

Hows the quality on the GC tank? Seems like its always hard to track if they have gotten better or worse or about the same. Always keep them in the back of my mind for when I can finally pull the new tank trigger!

Don't know how I missed this one. Sorry to hear about the old tank, but glad it was a slow leak- that's everyone on here's nightmare. Way to bounce back it looks good. AND a dedicated fish room-nice.

Jason, I would not order anything from GC.

They're seriously lacking on build quality & we're using silicone that IMO will fail over time. Maybe not initially, but as the years go on, some of their tanks have failed. They're known for sloppy work.

Bro, not trying to bring bad news, just giving my honest opinion. I would hate to see your tank fail again.

There's a reason why their tanks are cheap.

I've heard of various tank fails, not just GC. Saw one this weekend from a "high end" manufacturer that had split on the side seam.
The only thing I've ever heard with GC is sloppy silicone work. Not weak, just sloppy.
Just have to look for gaps/bubbles in the silicone.

More progress pics, please!

My apologies Jason, I didn't realize you already purchased the tank. On a positive note, JPMagyar over at RC has one (48x48x24), that he's been enjoying. No issues yet, and says he plans to buy another. He's an advanced reefer too. For 1/2 the price of other tank builders, it's a good deal.

Good luck with ur tank!

^^^^hehehe :nono::nono::nono:

GC tanks are fine. Some people voice their opinion based on what they read on the web without actually owning a CG tank. I know more than 5 people with GC tanks and all very satisfied customers. My previous tank was a 120/g rimless from them and it was the best built tank ever, with top and bottom euro bracing .75" glass.
