Get some display macros like Halymenia, Botryocladia, red/orange Gracilaria, etc. Ulva isn't so pretty but it can be held in place with a rock and pods love it (as a home and food for them). It looks better than Chaeto at least :) Blue ochtodes would add some color variety and look cool but can be highly invasive.

There are some cool photosynthetic gorgonians around if you look hard enough :) You won't be able to keep sponges alive for very long unless you get a photosynthetic type.
