I'm jumping back into the hobby after a nine year hiatus and am trying to figure out where all the LFS are located now. Obviously I'm aware of the sponsors but are there any other places worth visiting in the Clear Lake / Galveston County area? I'm located in Seabrook.

Howdy Aggie05 - Welcome to MARSH (class of '96 btw!) -- I am down this way in Clear Lake. Aqua Zoo is down this way but they are mainly FW - though they can order. All About Fish is down this way as well. Most other stores are from Pearland and west up to Spring. But man, there are some great stores around. Unfortunately for you and I...we have to make some drives!

I checked out Aqua Zoo the other day and was not impressed. I didn't realize that All About Fish was still in business. I'll definitely check them out. Thanks.

Is it correct that ADG now has a storefront at their location on the beltway? Worth going to?

Yes, ADG has a storefront now. A great place to stop in for a visit, browse, or make purchases. Friendly and helpful staff as well.

We're having a frag swap in Sugarland on the 11th of November, hope you can make it! Will have a demo, yummy food, and have a chance to buy/trade coral frags or equipment. Not to mention meeting new folks in the area :)

Good to hear about ADG. I was always impressed with their showroom at the old location. Can't wait to check out their place now.

I would love to come to the swap, but will be out of town. I'll have to wait till next time.

Glad to be back.

Just a quick note -- just made it by ADG storefront and really impressed with their display tanks (obviously), but also a great selection of coral frags - lots of variety and size as well as their fish selection too. Also, some great rock and drift wood pieces. For us down South -- its an easy drive on BW8 for some great selection. Highly recommend checking them out.

Made it by ADG this weekend and definitely agree with everything you said. Great place to visit and shop. Only problem was my wife started to fall in love with planted tanks thanks to their awesome showroom.
